This podcast examines Telemedicine from a provider’s perspective and a vendor’s perspective.  Host Dorothy Cociu interviews Dr. Wendy Coling from Kaiser Health on the effectiveness of telehealth, how it affects the doctor-patient relationship, the ability to diagnose conditions virtually, patient response and technology concerns.  We also discuss the future of telemedicine and its cost-effectiveness.  From the vendor perspective, Dorothy interviews Eric Kronengold, Executive Director of Teledoc.  We discuss the use of a telehealth service in both fully insured and self-insured health plans, the technology involved, the coordination with primary care physicians, the reporting and cost savings that can be seen from the use of a robust telehealth program.  Both podcast guests also discuss the future of telemedicine.
